Overview:
The Senior Director of Sales Operations is a key role with responsibility for all aspects of sales force operations, including defining the strategic plan, organizational design, sales force analysis, recommendations for improved sales force effectiveness, and input into trends and market changes that can affect the sales force and productivity.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of four Field Operations professionals to support the Sales Force, Sales and Marketing Leadership and enterprise fleet program.
  • Provide input and facilitate business process assessments, improvement recommendations and implementation within Field Operations.
  • Work with Sr. Sales leaders to enhance CRM. Coordinate with IT for implementation of enhancements and ongoing operations.
  • Continuously improve the Business Intelligence platform for sales reporting purposes. Coordinate with IT for implementation and ongoing operations.
  • Coordinate with Medical Affairs to align on the tools and processes to support interactions between the Field Sales team and MSLs
  • Work closely with vendors and Sales Management on sales planning activities including territory alignment.
  • Accountable for ad hoc analytics to support Sales Leadership and Field Sales
  • Provide coordination and support for sales force incentive programs. This individual will be charged with providing direction to the Associate Director of Sales Operations who works closely with the Sales Leadership, Marketing, and Human Resources to facilitate the creation and monitor the effectiveness of incentive plans. In addition, this individual will work closely and coordinate efforts with the appropriate Incentive Compensation vendors.
  • Collaborate with IT to manage the data warehouse, MDM and overall management of the data and business rules required to support the commercial organization.
  • Provide oversight to the sample and voucher management processes and ensure necessary compliance; ensure that appropriate material is available to the respective sales force as well as all monitoring and tracking activities. This individual will also provide appropriate analyses to assess sample allocation effectiveness in coordination with key Marketing and Sales functions.
  • Oversee the development and execution of the sales force communication strategy and inquiry management system.
  • Oversee management of the Fleet program.
  • Accountable for collaboration across the commercial organization and with Legal/Compliance to manage data governance.
  • Responsible for managing the Field Operations budget.
  • Have a vision of excellence in Field Operations.
Qualifications:
Education Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

Work Experience:
  • Minimum of 12 - 15 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry with time spent in Sales, Sales Leadership and Sales Operations roles
  • Broad pharmaceutical and/or health industry experience including 10 or more years of management experience, including Sales management and/or Sales Operations leadership
  • Have been highly effective in Sales Operations and have a comprehensive understanding of best practices across industry
  • Deep incentive compensation experience. Led the development of IC plans as well as IC plan analytics
  • Prior experience within CNS and epilepsy preferred
